There’s this specific kind of Saturday that happens every spring, where the weather finally gets out of its own way and everyone just… goes outside. In Greenville and Spartanburg, it’s so exciting because there’s actually so much to do when it does!
From March through May, the Upstate fills up fast. Festivals, farmers markets, Easter egg hunts, live music on Main Street, trails that are suddenly worth being on again. It’s honestly one of our favorite times of year here, whether you’re mapping out family weekends, date nights, or just looking for a reason to get out of the house.

2026 Easter Egg Hunts in Spartanburg & Greenville
Easter Egg Scramble — Spartanburg County
📅 Saturday, April 4, 2026 📍 Va-Du-Mar McMillan Park, Boiling Springs
The morning starts with sensory-friendly and special needs hunts for all ages from 9–10 AM, then opens up to kids 12 and under from 10 AM to 1 PM.
Eggtastic Easter Event — Greer
📅 Saturday, March 21, 2026 📍 Greer City Park — 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Free inflatables, crafts, games, live music, food trucks, age-group egg hunts, and photos with the Easter Bunny.
Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Open House — Greenville
📅 Friday, March 27, 2026 📍 Kroc Center Greenville — 5:00–7:00 PM
A Friday evening option, which honestly makes it easier to pull off. The hunt is for ages 1–12, check-in starts at 4:45, and the egg hunt begins at 5:15 PM sharp. There’s also open basketball and a spring open house happening at the same time if you want to make a full evening of it.
Spring Festivals in Greenville SC
Greenville St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival

One of the first big spring events in downtown Greenville! Downtown fills up with a parade, live music, food, drinks, and a kids’ area. It’s loud and festive and a little crowded and that’s kind of the whole point. Don’t forget to wear green!
iMAGINE Upstate STEAM Festival

📍 Main Street, Greenville SC
If you have kids, this is such a good one to know about. iMAGINE Upstate turns Main Street into a huge hands-on STEAM festival with experiments, creative activities, and interactive exhibits all over downtown Greenville. It feels way more fun than “educational event” makes it sound.
Southern Roots: A BBQ Reunion

📍 Trailblazer Park, Travelers Rest SC
Pitmasters, local chefs, craft beer, live music, outside. Southern Roots is relaxed and crowd-pleasing without being overcrowded, and Trailblazer Park is a great setting for it. Perfect spring Saturday if the weather cooperates (and it usually does by April).
Euphoria Spring Fest

📍 Greenville, Travelers Rest & Easley SC
Euphoria Spring Fest is a fun pick if you want more of a food-and-drinks kind of spring weekend. It includes tastings, dinners, and special events across the Greenville area, so it’s a nice way to try local spots and enjoy the Upstate in spring. This one feels a little more date-night or girls’ weekend.
Artisphere

📍 Main Street, Greenville SC
Every year, Artisphere shows up and reminds you why downtown Greenville is what it is. Artists from all over the country, live music, and local food. It’s free to attend and somehow keeps getting better. If you’re newer to the area and haven’t been, go. Just go!

Greer 150th Anniversary Celebration

Greer’s 150th anniversary celebration is one of the biggest community events of the season, with live entertainment, local vendors, and plenty of small-town energy.
Hub City Hog Fest

If you need very little convincing to go eat BBQ downtown, Hub City Hog Fest is your kind of weekend. This well known Spartanburg spring event brings together barbecue, live music, and a busy downtown atmosphere, all while supporting Mobile Meals.

Albino SpringSkunk Music Fest brings bluegrass, folk, and Americana to Greer with camping, food trucks, and a really laid-back, family-friendly feel.
